Creekside fun with Logan

I met Logan and his parents down at Creekside in Gahanna on Saturday evening. We are all friends and my kids and hubby came along too.
It was a good time!
Logan is such a sweet and smart little guy, and so cute!

Dress up

So I got the kids their Halloween costumes yesterday, and we had to put them on to show daddy last night. So here is a sneak peak of their costumes!




And here are a couple of my favorite gal. Since the weather has been so cold and rainy, I thought I needed to practice some indoor shots with natural light on a gloomy Ohio overcast day.

Photo Card Special

Photo cards are fun and a great idea for birth announcements, birthday party invitations, and holiday cards!
Here are a few samples I've designed for myself through the years.
If you are interested in doing a photo shoot, I can design a card design for $25 and save it as a jpg. Then you can just have them printed on photo paper at the photo processing center of your choice, and VOILA! Affordable, yet custom cards!
(The quality of these is low-res. If you purchase a design, they will be high-res and crystal clear!)

Catch lights & Closeups

Ok, so as for the new blog look.
I'm really starting to get into photography. Like really. I'm trying to hone my skills and someday be a portrait photographer!
So if you are looking for a (cheap) photographer for your kids, let me know! I'm trying to build my portfolio. :)
Took the kids out to a couple parks today to work on catch lights. (Catch lights are the "sparkle" from light sources in eyes.) Grant wasn't cooperating very well, but Valerie was!
I think I got that sparkle I was looking for! What do you think?








There's some Elvis lip coming out on this one! I kind of like how the eyes are the main focus.

Slate Run Historical Farm

On Sunday morning we hopped in the car with a picnic lunch, not sure where to go, and ended up at Slate Run Historical Farm. Slate Run is such a great place to take kids. They have a working historical farm and it's FREE! If you're in the Columbus area and have never been, you really need to check it out!
