Solo

So Dave is in DC with his friends this weekend. (geeking out at this place: www.lunacityarcade.com/)

I had my co-worker and friend Jenny (and Courtney!) come over today. She is a photographer and we had a fun photo shoot with the kids! I'm sure there are tons of great pics! Grant loved her and was sad when she left! I'll be sure to post them. I really want to take up photography. I need to get a new lens for my camera. I borrowed Jenny's for a minute and her lens was awesome! I need to find out which one it is. She said it was not $$$, which is good!

The Family Room remodel is coming along. The drywaller was in this week- no more hole around the fireplace! It's getting scary though because once the drywall is done, it's our turn to do work- painting walls (and I still need to decide what color!), painting trim, painting the door, installing tile fireplace surround/hearth, and installing the new mantel. It will be so awesome when it's done though!

The floors will be a beautiful walnut that is currently residing in our garage.

I'm trying to figure out how to decorate it!

I want to do green, robin's egg blue, and red in a modern cottage style.

Like in this picture- the red flowers, green walls, and blue sign. I think it's a fun combo! (And it will work with my green sofa's and red chair!)

So, I'm having fun, but missing my man!

I want to go get some Jeni's Ice Cream tomorrow night! Love that there is one in Dublin now!
